The Council of Management is elected from the volunteer body and
is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization,
including policy development, volunteer recruitment, training and
administration of children's holidays.
Working as a Team
Working as part of a team means we can provide an excellent service.
Our aim is to offer the best holidays we can for children who are in
need of respite. Working together, we strive to give the children a
wonderful experience and really make a difference to their lives.

Please read the Child NI Holiday constitution, which sets out our
aims and objectives, scope of operation and acts as Child's charity
governance document.
Child Committees
The Training Committee are responsible for
organising any training courses that take place. Every year training
courses are available for new volunteers. This year a Senior Workers
course took place with six members successfully completing the
course.
The Volunteer Liaison Committee work hard to
maintain contact with all the members of Child. They maintain the
contact list for each member, complete monthly newsletters to send
out, receive application forms for new volunteers and organise which
volunteers work on which holiday and many other tasks!
The Grants Committee work on applications for grants from local companies and other vital sources of funding for the charity. Our previous sponsors have included N&WBelfast HSST, Northern Ireland Electricity, Howard Charitable Trust and BBC Children in Need.
The Administration Committee responsibilities include maintaining contact with the service partners, updating contact details, putting together information and application forms to be sent out, receiving and organisation of application forms, placement of children, the website and many other roles!
The Fundraising Committee have been very busy! Several quiz nights have been organised in the Eglantine Bar, a formal in the Europa Hotel, street collections and many other events. A huge thank you to all those people who have worked so hard raising lots of much needed funds.
