Volunteers - Changing Lives

Child encourages volunteering

Recruits from 2005

Child is a leading volunteer-based organization comprising 100 volunteers. Volunteers provide the backbone for the organization - demonstrating professionalism, dedication and self-sacrifice. Our work with volunteers is as important as our work with children. Without volunteers this organization could not exist.   We encourage volunteers from all backgrounds to join our organisation.

Child  values volunteers

Our thanks go to all those volunteers who worked on the holidays, attended or supported the fundraising events and who continue to give freely of their time to make the organization's work with children so successful.

Volunteer Opportunities

Every year Child recruits 15-20 new volunteers. During our latest recruitment drive, Child held a Residential Training Weekend for New volunteers at Ballinran Centre, Kilkeel and a Follow-Up Training Day.   See panel opposite on how to take the next steps to volunteer.

Why Volunteer?

Every year Child provides holiday opportunities for children in need.  We do so on a voluntary basis and our volunteers give freely of their time and talent to provide an invaluable life experience for young people in need.  In return, volunteers gain an immense amount - professional training, new friends, personal satisfaction and new career opportunities are top of the list.  A number of our volunteers have even met their lifelong partners through Child!  All volunteers would agree that you get back much more than you contribute.

You can make a difference - volunteer today!
